Meet the Director

 Adam and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Ellijay in 2020, falling in love with the beautiful atmosphere and this very special community. He started volunteering at the Food Pantry in 2021, loading food into cars for clients. He served on the Board of the Pantry for the years following.

In 2024, Adam took a break from leadership to start a local retail business in East Ellijay with his wife. After establishing their business, he was excited to jump back in and serve, which led to him taking on the role of Director of the Gilmer Community Food Pantry.

With a background that includes business, produce management, warehousing, a commercial driver’s license and sales, Adam is thoroughly experienced in logistics and business operation. If asked why he wants to serve in this role, his answer is best summed up this way: “I grew up very poor and had food to eat because of people and places such as this one. That is my motivation to help feed other people. The following words spoken by Jesus Christ are a mandate to me to do so.”
